Crush Destroy Iowa Barnstormers:

Fort Collins, CO-

Colorado Crush came through with their second win of the season over the Iowa Barnstormers.  The Crush fell behind at the start of the game but a fumble return by Rashard Smith brought the Crush back to lead 13-8 with 10:04 remaining in the first quarter. This fumble was the fuel needed to turn the game around as the Crush would be able to hold the lead for the rest of the game. The defense played a huge role in this win with a total of five interceptions for 121 yards, two of which resulted in touchdowns. One interception was by Quinton Richardson and the other four by Rashard Smith earning him the IFL defensive player of the week.  Smith was the first DB in the league to have 4 interceptions in a game since 2012. In the final two quarters the Crush pulled away even more from the Barnstormers with a final score of 93-55.


  • Spencer Groner kicked 12/13 XP and a field goal for a total of 15 points.
  • Damien Fleming went 18-23, throwing for 2 touchdowns and rushing for another 4 touchdowns.
  • Josh Ford ran for 3 touchdowns and 82 yards on the ground.
