Crush fall late in hard fought battle


Fort Collins, CO

It was another close game Crush fans, as the crush lost in the last seconds of the fourth quarter against the Wichita Falls Nighthawks. The Crush were able to take the lead with five minutes left in the third quarter, and expand that lead to ten points. They managed to hold the lead until five minutes left in the fourth, when Colorado’s D. Williams fumbled the ball, allowing Wichita to regain the lead. The Crush regained position with nine seconds left in the fourth quarter but were unable to convert.

Final score Crush 61- Nighthawks 65


  • Damien Fleming went 15-37 for 183 yards, 5 touchdowns.
  • Washington and K. Kaiser combined for 5 touchdowns and 180 yards receiving.
  • Groner connected on a 62-yard field goal, tying the current IFL field goal record!
  • Smith and LJ Stroman combined for 3 interceptions in the game.



The next game will be played in Saturday May 21st in Billings, Montana. The Wolves are played last Saturday against the Tri-Cities Fever and won 49-44.  The Crush look to get back into the win column, as the last time these two teams met the Crush lost by only three points.
